The Knoxville Wrestling Squad split its two matches at the Chariton Quad last night. The Panthers fell to top-ranked class 2A Albia 57-15. Knoxville then came back and defeated Chariton 38-33. Cameron Brown, Travis Poffenbarger, and Joe Hollinrake got two wins for Knoxville. The anticipated bout between the top two wrestlers at the 285-pound weight class went to Albia’s Carter Isley by a score of 13-8 over Knoxville’s Brock Caviness. The two will likely meet again in less than a month in the Sectional.
