With their 57-36 victory over Clarke last Saturday, the Lady Mustangs of PCM High School now have to fight their way past the Chargers of Chariton in the second round of regionals tonight.

The Lady Mustangs are peaking at the right time, playing their best basketball averaging over 40 points their last 11 games, the only two times they didn’t break that mark was against class 3A superpower Pella and defending state champions Nevada and the Mustangs are 10-4 when they do break that plateau on the season. Jump shooting was a problem early on in the season, but those issues seem to have been fixed as of late as they are shooting 42% their last five games. The Chargers sport a 9-12 record, and the Mustangs will look to capitalize on the scoring woes of the Chargers, no player averages more than 7.3 points per game. PCM Head Coach Jeff Lindsey tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that his teams multiple threats on offense will give them an edge. The game can be heard live on KNIAKRLS.com via the KNIA2 stream, pregame will start at 6:40 and tipoff will be at 7.
