Three Central softball players were chosen to the all-Iowa Conference team for the 2016 season. Third baseman Lauren Bagby, pitcher Karly Olson, and outfielder Tabitha Taylor were all picked for the first-team all-conference. Bagby was a .429 hitter during league play with six RBI. Olson claimed a 7 – 6 record in the center circle for the Dutch with a 2.23 ERA, with opponents batting just .247 against her. Taylor was Central’s leading offensive player, with a .429 average and ten RBI during conference games. She also slugged five doubles and two home runs. The Dutch went 8 – 6 in league play, good for fourth place overall.
