According to Knoxville Police Chief Dan Losada five vehicles were entered and had items taken from them and another was stolen overnight Sunday. The stolen vehicle has been located and returned to the owner. In addition, there were two more vehicles broken into on the east side of town overnight Monday.

The Knoxville Police Department continues to investigate the crimes. Losada encourages residents to remove valuables from their vehicles overnight, secure them in their trunk or make sure they are out of sight. Those who witness suspicious activity are asked to call the Knoxville Police Department at 828-0541 so they can check into the situation.
