Light snow falling in the area is continuing to cause some issues with travel in parts of the region.

According to the Iowa DOT, many highways, including Highway 163 and Highway 14 north of Monroe, remain partially covered with snow.

The Marion County Road Department reports that trucks were working late Friday by making rounds north of Hwy 92 and select areas in the southeast part of Marion County. Graders will be back to work on icy spots tomorrow at 6:00 a.m. to finish up after spending all day Friday working on trouble areas.

They advise to watch for refreeze overnight and prepare for extreme cold before traveling any distance over the weekend.
