Falling one step short of making a team appearance in last year’s state meet, the PCM girls’ golf team brings back plenty of experience to get over the hump this season.
PCM saw their season end in the regional final and despite losing individual state qualifier Breanna Maher to graduation, the Mustangs bring back five of their top six golfers from 2017. Sabrina Reed leads the charge in her senior season, looking to build off of all conference honors from a year ago. Fellow senior Madeline Mitchell averaged a 47 per nine holes that ranked first among returners. Other golfers in the top six coming back include Alexis Reed, Mackenzie Bussan, and Ellie Steenhoek. The Mustangs will have a new face at the healm with Tony Ford as a first year head coach.
The season gets started April 3rd against Eddyville-Blakesburg.
