According to the Marion County Democrats and Republicans, caucuses will still go on as scheduled.
Despite the weather Iowa Republicans are still having their caucus. Doors open at 6:15 and start at 7 PM):
Republicans:
Madison Elementary: 950 E. University St., Pella: For Lake Prairie, Otley, Pella 1, Pella 2, Pella 3, and Pella 4 precincts/wards (All north of the Lake)
Northstar Elementary: 405 W. Larson, Knoxville: For Clay, Dallas, Indiana, Knoville 1, Knoxville 2, Knoxville 3, Knoxville 4, Knoxville Township, Liberty, Pleasantville, and Washington (All south of the lake).
All Democrats in the county will caucus at Knoxville High School.
T. Waldmann Williams with the Marion County Republicans says their work is:
-Elect Committee Members to the Central Commitee (read short attached note about this)
-Elect Delegates to our Marion County Republican Convention on March 10, at Sprint Car Hall of Fame
-Write and vote on planks to create the county platform.
-Request everyone to sign 11 petitions for candidates to be put on the June 5 primary ballot
