The City of Indianola is asking for residents to fill out a survey regarding a proposal from the Iowa Department of Transportation to restripe portions of Highway 92 and Highway 65/69 from four lane highways to three lanes with a middle turn lane.
City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News Indianola already has a portion like this, but no decisions will be made without public input.
“The restriping of the road will basically look like what Highway 92 currently looks like west of town with the three lane structure, one lane in each direction and a dedicated turn lane. Council has heard the presentation from IDOT and our next step before any decision is made is to hear what residents have to say.”
IDOT has asked for a response from the Indianola City Council by February. Both the survey and an informational video can be found below.
