After winning three games in three nights and earning a share of the LHC title, Pella begins post season play tonight at Centerville in the opening round of the Class 3A Regional tournament. Pella coach Krista Demeulenaere says Centerville beat them twice this season, but Pella is riding a lot of momentum right now and she expects a great game:

Demeulenaere says she is a bit concerned about her daughter Mandy, who is the ace pitcher for the Lady Dutch, because she has thrown a lot of innings in some intense situations the past three nights, but she says with 24 hours rest she should be up for the challenge. Pella finished the regular season 19-9 and 11-3 in LHC play. Tonight’s winner travels to Fairfield Monday to face either Fairfield or Keokuk.
