It was a memorable season for the Central College football team, one which you’ll hear much more about later in this countdown, and a large part of that success was due to the record-breaking season of junior quarterback Blaine Hawkins. In his third year as Dutch signal-caller, Hawkins re-wrote the passing section of the football record books.

With one season to go in his career, Hawkins holds 5 individual game passing records (yards, completion percentage, touchdowns, efficiency and total offense), 5 season passing records (yards, completions, completion percentage, touchdowns and total offense), 4 career passing records (yards, completions, touchdowns and total offense) and the record for most consecutive passes without an interception.

In 2019, Hawkins was selected as the American Rivers Conference’s Offensive Player of the Year, and led the Dutch to their first league championship since 2009.
