The Simpson Storm men’s basketball team won their second straight home contest Monday evening against the Norse of Luther College in American Rivers Conference play, 68-61. The Storm went back and forth with the Norse throughout the first half, but would go on an 11-0 run to end the first half to take a 31-23 advantage at the halftime break, then continue the run to build a 17-point second half advantage. Luther refused to go away however, going on a 16-3 run late to bring the contest within three, but the Storm held to move to 2-5 overall and 2-3 in conference play. Chris Honz led the team with 18 points and 9 rebounds, while Collin Lister scored 13. The Storm will next play Wartburg tomorrow beginning at 5:30pm.
