The Class 1A #7 Twin Cedars Softball Squad’s road to Fort Dodge will start tonight with a home game against Tri-County. The top seeded Sabers have home field advantage throughout the regional and will play a Tri-County club that is 14-13 and coming off an easy 12-0 win over Keota in 1st round action on Friday. Sabers Coach Zack Dunkin tells KNIA/KRLS Sports while Tri-County has had an up and down season, he wants his team to be at their best in a one and done tournament.
Dunkin: “They won’t roll over. We played them twice in basketball with the same coach, so I know they will fight, and they play in the South Iowa Cedar League which has some good softball as well.”
The Trojans finished tied for 6th in the South Iowa Cedar League this season with a 9-7 record. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 at Twin Cedars.
