What started out on the national scene with division one basketball teams…has now filtered down to the local high schools. Coaches vs. Cancer is a product of the American Cancer Society that schools can raise money for cancer research and put on an athletic event at the same time. P-C-M has become the fourth area school to put on such a night and it will be January 18th when the Mustangs host Bondurant-Farrar. P-C-M girls coach Ben Anderson says the Bondurant-Farrar game is perfect tie in since his father was a principal there and is waging his own battle with cancer. Knoxville was one of the first schools to put on a Coaches vs. Cancer event three years ago and last season raised over $12,000. Pella and Pella Christian joined in last season.
