The Twin Cedars Football Squad is looking to get back on track after a week zero loss to Colo-NESCO last Friday. The Sabers were dominated, only generating 159 yards last week while giving up 316 of the Royals 371 yards on the ground. Tonight the Sabers take on Lamoni, who is playing in its season opener. The Demons won just two games last year, but one of them was against Twin Cedars 74-22. While both teams gained a lot of yards, it was Lamoni’s Ambrose Savage who did most of the damage with 215 yards on the ground. Sabers Coach Mark Ford tells KNIA/KRLS Savage will be the key to stopping Lamoni’s offense.
Ford: “He broke loose for all kinds of yards and ran anywhere he wanted to in the 2nd half, so we’ll be keying on him. We gained a lot of yards against them, so we know we can move the ball.”
This is Twin Cedars’ home opener and kick off is set for 7:00.
