The replacement of two-tenths of a mile of concrete on Jasper County Highway T-22 south of Kellogg and Interstate 80 has been moved up one week. Jasper County’s Secondary Roads Department says with good weather expected next week, the contractor wants to start the project at 7:00 a.m. this coming Monday, March 10th instead of March 17th. The work is expected to be completed within a month. TK Concrete Incorporated in Pella was awarded the contract with a low bid of $70,165.
Jasper County Engineer Mike Frietsch says the detour will go east of the project using South 28th Avenue East, East 108th Street South, and South 44th Avenue East.
