The Indianola boys and girls track and field teams start their outdoor season at Simpson College today.
The Indians boys and girls each had success in their indoor seasons so far competing at both UNI and Iowa State, with the boys adding multiple events at Central College last week, but this will be the first test outdoors for both squads. Girls head coach Morgan Singleton tells KNIA Sports the goal is always to peak at the right time beginning with the Little Hawkeye Conference meet, then state qualifiers, and eventually at state, but there is value in performing well early and they want to see good technique and top finishes.
Action starts this afternoon at 4pm.
