The Indianola City Council approved a rezoning application at their meeting Monday, beginning the process of a new housing development called the Pickard Estates south of Hwy 92 near S 20th St. Indianola Mayor Steve Richardson tells KNIA News the new development adds more housing expansion to the southeast portion of the city.

“The number of units going in, some of them will be single family, some of them are condos or townhomes. That will be right around the area of S 20th St., which will connect also with that development as time goes on. So just a routine rezoning of that from A-1 (agricultural) to R-2 (residential) and gets the process started for that housing development.”
