Much of the Knoxville Sports schedule got called off due to rain and predicted showers. The boys and girls tennis meet against Davis County was rained out. What did go on was the girls golf squad at the Oskaloosa Invitational. The Panthers placed 11th overall led by Caelie Smith shooting a 90. Coach Barry Smith tells KNIA/KRLS Sports while the girls’ scores may seem high, he has seen improvement and they are enjoying the process.

Smith: “What can we do to shave 4 or 5 shots off in a nine. It’s the individual growth that I’m looking for and I want it to be fun, and to some degree I’m the girls aren’t happy with their scores, that means they want to get better.”
