The Norwalk boys soccer team was defeated by Ankeny 1-0 in a non-conference match on Saturday afternoon. The visiting Hawks outshot the Warriors and scored the winning goal in the second half. Jacoby Robbins recorded five keeper saves for Norwalk while Eli Leonard, Matthew Lane and Eli Scavo all took a shot on goal.

The Class 3A fifth-ranked Warriors, who were playing without two starters, dropped to 4-3-2 overall. Ankeny is now 5-3-1. The Warriors’ next game is Thursday at Des Moines Lincoln.

Monday Schedule

Three Norwalk spring sports teams are scheduled to compete on Monday. The girls golf team will try to win their second Little Hawkeye Invite of the season when the conference teams gather at Westwood Golf Course in Newton. Tee time is set for 9:00 a.m. The Warriors have posted school record 18-hole scores in their last two outings.

The Norwalk girls tennis team will host Urbandale for a dual at 4:15 and the girls track and field squad will travel to Winterset for a meet at 4:30.
