A pair of Indianola High School bands competed in the State Large Group Contest from the Iowa High School Music Association on Saturday. The Wind Ensemble received a Division I rating, and the Symphonic Band received a Division II rating.

Four choirs were also rated as the contest, with the Indianola Singers, A Capella, and Apollo Chorus all earning a Division I rating, with the Cantare/Bel Canto earning a Division II rating.
