Twin Cedars and Melcher-Dallas Track and Field Squads will try to get events and individuals to the State Meet today in Lynnville-Sully.

The Sabers boys have been improving their times and distances all season and look to sneak in one or two events to the Blue Oval. Joangel Ibarra comes in 7th in the district with a top time of 10:52.62.

For the Saint girls, Trista Hansaker, who has been breaking school records recently, is one of the favorites to not just get to state but win the 100 and 200 events. She is the top seed in the 100 with a top time of :12.70, and she is #2 in the 200 at :26.88. Also, Gabby Overgaard is a top five seed in the throwing events. She is 4th in the shot put with a best throw of 34 feet 11.75, and 3rd in the discus at 108 feet four inches.
