Central College fell to Concordia of Wisconsin 8-3 yesterday afternoon in an elimination game at the NCAA softball regionals in Oshkosh, Wisconsin as heard live on 92.1 KRLS.

The Falcons jumped out in front with a two-out three-run home run in the bottom of the first inning, and never trailed. The Dutch scored single tallies in each of the third, fourth and fifth innings, but Concordia put it away with another three-run blast in the sixth.

It was the final game in a Dutch uniform for 11 Central players, including All-American senior Haley Bach, who battled back from an ACL injury that she suffered less than three weeks ago. She went 3-for-4 in her final game and finishes her career fifth all-time on the Central hit list.

“I’m extremely grateful to get out on the field today”, an emotional Bach said after the game. “I didn’t know if I was going to be able to, so I can proudly say that I gave it my all. I’m proud of how the last four years went and feel privileged to play for such an amazing program.”

Bach is Central’s career leader in runs and walks, and she led the Dutch to three straight regional tournament appearances.

Central finishes the 2025 season with a record of 26-13.
