Pella High School was recognized for its efforts in supporting international students attending classes locally. The International Student Exchange awarded the district for its “outstanding support of cultural exchange and international education.” A letter written to the district by Craig Brewer with the organization highlighted Pella’s efforts for creating an atmosphere where “young minds can grow, learn, and share unique perspectives.”

This past academic year, three students have been attending Pella High School from overseas, including Xabier Lozano Isusi of Spain, Roxana Maria Vasile of Romania, and Aurora Petrone of Italy. Hear more from those students on an upcoming Let’s Talk Pella program.
