
The Pella Opera House is hosting their 2025 Garden Party Gala on Friday, June 20th.
Community members are invited to join the Opera House for their fundraising event, which helps support the historic venue. The event will begin with cocktails, appetizers, and check in at 6 pm. The gala will then have a time to socialize, a silent and live auction, dinner and dessert, and a program. Executive Director Cyndi Atkins says that the gala is one of their biggest fundraising events, and that along with a fundraising campaign, helped fund a new chiller for the Opera House’s air conditioning unit. Atkins adds that the proceeds from the Garden Party Gala will help with various improvements at the historic venue.
“Part of that is a redo of our catering kitchen here at the Pella Opera House. We have cupboards that were installed back in 1990 and, for anyone who has worked in the kitchen, cupboards don’t last that long. So, we’re looking to do a complete replacement of our cupboards with stainless steel. We’re also looking at doing some carpeting replacement in the main lobby, and new furniture in the second floor lobby. So, we have some projects that we are working on.”
