The PCM softball team defeated Pleasantville at home Monday night.

The #4 in Class 3A ranked Mustangs defeated the Trojans 5-0. Camden Webb pitched all seven innings giving up four hits and no runs while recording eight strikeouts. Tori Lindsay went 1-4 in the contest with a home run on the first pitch in the first inning. Libby Winters went 2-3 with a run, RBI and two stolen bases while Addi Hudnut went 1-2 with a run, RBI and two stolen bases. PCM improves to 8-1 in the season and will be back in action tonight against Perry. 

For Pleasantville, Harper McGraw went 2-3 in the contest while Lilian Metcalf and Clara Metcalf both went 1-3 as the Trojans had four total hits as a team. Lainey Kennedy pitched in the contest for the Trojans. Coach Alee Phillips said the defense was solid but a few errors cost her team some runs. Phillips adds that if you take away the errors it would’ve been a one run game but her team played well. Pleasantville falls to 6-3 on the season and will be back in action tonight against Interstate 35.
