
Twin Cedars and Melchner-Dallas earned all-Bluegrass Conference Baseball selections. For Twin Cedars on the first team was Holden Roberts and Braxton Davis, both unanimous selections. Roberts led the Sabers and was 2nd in the conference in batting average at .473 he also led the conference in hits with 35, while Davis was 5th in the conference and 2nd for the Sabers at .458 and was second in the BGC with 33 hits. On the 2nd team was Brandon Puyear. Puyear led the Sabers this summer with 33 strikeouts on the mound. Also on the 2nd team was Kaden Kloster, Gavin Clark, Jax Mockenhaupt, and Brock Micetich. Earning honorable mention was Reed McElroy. For Melcher-Dallas on the 1st team was Austin Remster. Remster led the Saints on the mound with 49 strikeouts and opponents batted just 205 against him. Also on the first team was Evan Schrader. He had 24 hits to lead Melcher-Dallas this season and had the top batting average at .462. Earning 2nd team was Reece Chiabotta and honorable mention was Leo Schrader. Melcher-Dallas finished 8-10 this summer and 5-6 in the Bluegrass Conference Eastern Division. Twin Cedars finished 12-12 and 8-2 in the Bluegrass Conference Eastern Division, finishing in 2nd place. Tomorrow we will highlight the all-conference softball selections.
