The Indianola girls tennis team defeated Newton in Little Hawkeye Conference action at Indianola High School on Tuesday, winning 9-2.

The Indians got wins in singles by Emily Allen, Chloe Chaplin, Ryen Blosser, and Kendall Hibbs, while Newton earned victories Camryn Andrew at #4 and Mekenzie Clark at #6 singles.

Indians doubles pairings swept the Cardinals, with Allen/Chaplin, Blosser/MacKenzie McBroom, Peyton Rinard/Ashley Schultz, Kate Halgren/Macie Crosson, and Hibbs/Annika Kelso all earning wins.

Indianola improves to 2-2 and will next compete against Pella tomorrow, while Newton is 0-2 and is at Ballard today.
