The City of Indianola and Indianola Wellness Campus are continuing to develop ways to help make the facility more financially stable. Mayor Steve Richardson tells KNIA News one of those ways is to develop the facility into a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization to help receive contributions from the community, and the city expects getting the facility in better shape at the end of the fiscal year.

“They are going to have a fundraiser here this fall, and they will take contributions. It is a non-profit, so it should be tax-deductible. But at the same time, that board that is going to oversee that, the IWC had an open meeting for anyone interested in serving on that board. I look forward to great things coming out of the Wellness Center.”
