Kwik Star celebrated the opening of their new store in Indianola Thursday, located on the north side of Indianola, part of the Emerald Bay housing and commercial development near Highway 65/69.

Speakers included Kwik Star CEO Scott Zietlow, Indianola Mayor Steve Richardson, State Representative Brooke Boden, Indianola Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Amanda Zwanziger, and other Kwik Star Employees.

As part of the ribbon cutting opening ceremony, Kwik Star donated $1,000 to each of the Indianola Police and Fire Departments, and Kwik Star District Leader James Ohrt tells KNIA News it is a priority for the family-owned company to identify organizations that make a difference in peoples lives, and today it was the Indianola emergency departments that received those funds.

Ort also said the initial feedback and support from the community has been stellar, and he hopes that continues into the future.
