The Michael Duschen Era began in a big way for the Twin Cedars Football Squad as the Sabers never trailed in a 20-8 win over Mormon Trail in their season opener. Twin Cedars jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the 1st half as Holden Roberts had touchdown passes to Matthew Fay and Brandon Puyear to get the scoring started, then capped it off with a strike to Brock Micetich. Duschen told KNIA/KRLS Sports his team played very well in the first half, then hit some adversity in the 2nd half, but was able to fight through it. Kash Klobnak had an interception. Twin Cedars is 1-0 and will take on arch-rival Melcher-Dallas on Friday.
