The Indianola girls tennis team was dominant in their opening round regional competition against Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln on Monday, winning 5-1. The Indians ended the contest after singles action, with Ashley Schultz, Ryen Blosser, Alana Moser, Kendall Hibbs, and MacKenzie McBroom all earning victories. Indianola advances to the regional semifinal tomorrow at Ottumwa.

The Indianola boys golf squad had one of their best performances of the season at the annual Steve Spray Invitational at the Indianola Golf Club held Monday, placing first shooting a team score of 286. Jackson Buchanan and Ryker Burgin finished in first and second place respectively, Buchanan carding a 67 and Burgin a 70. Wes Nailor shot a 74, and Daltry Tupper a 75 to round out the scoring for the Indians. Indianola hits the links again tomorrow at Southeast Polk.
