It’s a city election year, and the Pella Area Community and Economic Alliance will once again host a Pella City Council Candidate Forum. The event on Thursday, October 9th from 6 to 8 p.m. will be again moderated by Central College Political Science Professor Andrew Green. This is a chance to hear directly from the candidates as they share their perspectives and priorities on business, growth, and economic development in Pella. The event at the Pella Community Center is open to the public, and all candidates who submit official paperwork with the Marion County Auditor’s Office will be invited to participate. The seats in Pella’s Ward 1, 3, and one of two At-Large seats will be on the November 4th ballot, and include these candidates:

Ward 3 – Anita VerMeer Fischer
Ward 3 – Bruce Schiebout
Ward 3 – Spencer Carlstone
