
The Knoxville Volleyball Squad went 4-1 at the Boone Invitational on Saturday and finished 2nd place overall. The Panthers swept round robin play beating Fort Dodge 21-14 and 21-11. Addy Dunkin had 17 assists and Siena Scott had three blocks. Knoxville also defeated Forest City 21-16 and 21-17 as Mariah Ripperger put down four kills. Knoxville beat Ames 21-19 and 21-19 with Dunkin getting 12 assists and the Panthers rounded round preliminary play by defeating the host Toreadors 21-15 and 21-18 as Scott had three kills and three blocks. The rematch with the Little Cyclones went the other way as Ames swept Knoxville in two sets 21-12 and 21-19. Ripperger had three blocks. Knoxville is now 16-7 and will try to stay perfect in the South Central Conference Tuesday night at Centerville.
