The songwriters behind some of country music’s biggest hits are coming to the Pella Opera House this weekend.

The Opera House is bringing David Lee and Anthony Smith to the stage on Saturday to discuss and perform the songs they have written for some of the biggest names in country music. Lee and Smith will perform the hit songs they wrote for artists such as John Michael Montgomery, Leann Womack, Brad Martin, Mark Wills, Montgomery Gentry, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, George Strait, Blake Shelton, Chris Stapleton, Eric Church, and others. Pella Opera House Executive Director Cyndi Atkins says the show is a great opportunity to learn about the inspiration behind their work.

“They have so much to share. Not only are they fantastic singers, they’re storytellers, they tell their stories in the songs they write and then they tell the stories about the songs when they come to Nashville North. And for anyone who’s been to Nashville, to The Listening Room Cafe or to The Blue Bird Cafe, they’ve had these experiences where you’re just in such an intimate setting and get to feel like you’re part of that Nashville scene, learning about these great songs from great songwriters.”

Tickets for Nashville North at the Pella Opera House can be purchased at their box office during regular hours or online here.
