The Indianola Chamber of Commerce has announced Indianola was selected by the Iowa Creative Places Accelerator Program administered by the Iowa Arts Council.
The Creative Places Accelerator is a statewide initiative that fosters cross-sector collaboration – bringing together local government, the business community, artists, cultural organizations, and residents to develop arts-based projects that strengthen livability, economic vitality, and community connections
This award brings a total of $23,000 in funding over a two-year period to support a community-driven arts and placemaking initiative in Indianola. After being encouraged to apply by the Iowa Arts Council, the Indianola Chamber partnered with members of the Indianola Arts Commission to apply for the grant.
