Weiler has received a high quality jobs award from the Iowa Economic Development Authority for their upcoming expansion.
Weiler plans to construct a new 69,000-square-foot manufacturing facility as they continue to experience rapid growth. The project was awarded $250,000 in direct financial assistance and tax benefits through the HQJ program. It represents a $12.3 million capital investment and is expected to create 54 jobs, of which 49 are incentivized at a qualifying wage of $27.06 per hour. The expansion will be directly south of the current facility.
The (IEDA) Board approved awards for six companies, which will assist in the creation and retention of 305 jobs and result in $267 million in new capital investment for the state. These projects are located in Altoona, Ankeny, Eldridge, Fairfield, Iowa City and Knoxville. Weiler is a family company located in Knoxville which specializes in road paver production.
