The Pleasantville football team defeated West Central Valley at home Friday night.
The game started with two rushing touchdowns by quarterback Braylon Bingham to put the Trojans on top 14-0. Pleasantville added to their scoring on a Owen Rule rushing touchdown and a long Logan Roff touchdown run to go up four scores. The scoring would continue with a Bingham punt return touchdown, a JJ Phillips rushing touchdown, and a Cale Sorenson long touchdown run as the Trojans picked up a 49-7 win. Coach Mack Jorth says his offense is really starting to gel but he is also happy with how the defense has looked the last several weeks.
“We’ve done a little bit of bend but don’t break but overall we’ve done a good job of making plays when we need to and learning to be very physical and learning to get off blocks and get to the football. I love how we’re flying to the ball and a lot of our guys are at the ball making plays. I think they’re coming along and doing a really good job.”
The Trojans improve to 6-1 overall and 3-1 in district play. Pleasantville will conclude their regular season next week on the road at Panorama.
