The Pride of Indianola Marching Band is traveling to Waukee for their final two competitions of the season tomorrow, the Class 4A State Marching Band Competition and the Waukee Warrior Marching Invitational, both at Waukee High School.

The band, using the theme of “Time” for 2025, uses multiple songs including Centuries by Fallout Boy, Running Up That Hill by Kate Bush, and Time by Hans Zimmer which is featured in the movie Inception.

Color Guard Captains Emma Lucas and Hannah Casey tells KNIA News this year’s theme means much more to them because they are seniors.

“At first we were kind of apprehensive because we didn’t really know what time theme meant. Now I think a lot of us think that it is just really about using the time that you do have. It is really a full circle moment because we are seniors so you are trying to use the best of your time.”

Hannah Casey
“Personally I just like the fact that we actually know the songs. I feel in a lot of years you get to know the songs because you play them everyday, but we actually know the ones from Fall Out Boy and everything like that. I really liked last years show, but this year might be my favorite that we have ever done.”
