The Newton Colfax-Mingo Pella Aquagirls will compete in two different conference meets this week. Head coach Kaylee Franke says the team will face traditional Newton opponents Tuesday and regional schools in the North Central Conference Thursday.

“Our conference that Newton truly belongs to, we still have a Little Hawkeye Conference Meet. So we will be in Indianola for conference meet number one, and then we will be in Grinnell for our true conference meet number two.”

The other teams competing in the Little Hawkeye Conference Meet Tuesday at the Indianola Wellness Campus will be Indianola and Oskaloosa. The North Central Conference teams include Boone, Centerville, Decorah, Grinnell, Oskaloosa, Vinton-Shellsburg, and Williamsburg. That meet will be held at the Grinnell College Natatorium.
