
The Pleasantville football team will host Durant in the opening round of the Class 1A playoffs tonight.
The Trojans are the #2 seed and finished the regular season with a 7-1 overall record after defeating Panorama 56-7 last Friday. The Wildcats are 5-3 overall and beat EBF 27-24 in their last game of the regular season. Pleasantville has been led in offense this season by junior quarterback Braylon Bingham who has passed for 1,046 yards and 12 touchdowns while rushing for 581 yards and five touchdowns. Brayden Kennedy has led the team in receiving with 373 yards and four touchdowns while Logan Roff has 290 yards and three touchdowns. On defense, Pleasantville has been led in tackles by Bingham and Cooper Kennedy who both have 34.
Durant has been a balanced run and pass team this season as starting senior quarterback Trey Ramer III has thrown for 1,004 yards and 12 touchdowns and running backs Owen DeLong and Tate McKinley have combined for roughly 1,000 yards on the ground. Ramer’s favorite target through the air has been Colby Gast who has 750 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns.
Tonight’s playoff matchup in Pleasantville will start at 7:00 pm.
