The snowflake stroll held by the Marion County Conservation Department is still ongoing and will close on December 31st.

This event started on December 1st and is hosted at Cordova Park. Attendees will stroll along the Karr Trail at Cordova Park in search of 35 snowflakes. The snowflakes are a variety of colors and sizes. To make this fun for all visitors, everyone is asked to not take or move the snowflakes from the trail. This is a self-guided stroll for all ages and no registration is required. Marion County Naturalist Karen Johlas-Szalkowski hopes they can get even more people to participate than last year.

“Our snowflake stroll is basically you come out to Cordova Park and there are 35 snowflakes that are hidden along the trail. Your challenge is to see if you can find all 35 and when you complete that just sign our log book. Last year we had over 220 participants and we’re trying to beat that number this year so stop out and you can do that any time in the month of December.”
