
The Indianola boys wrestling team is sending 13 wrestlers to the state tournament and enters the week ranked third in Class 3A. As a team, the Indians have won several tournaments on the season, including the Class 3A District Five State Qualifying Tournament. Indianola finished as runner-ups at the State Duals Tournament a couple weeks ago and of the 13 wrestlers competing this week, nine are ranked.
The Indians have one top-ranked wrestler with Mac Crossan at 165lbs and one second-ranked wrestler with Elijah Blewitt at 150lbs. The Indians have a pair of other wrestlers ranked in the top five in their respective weight class with Cain Crossan at 113lbs is ranked fourth and Stoney Wood at 144lbs is ranked fifth. All 13 wrestlers will begin their journeys to state championships beginning today at 4 p.m.
