With seven entries in the top 10 nationally in Division III, the Central College men’s track and field team is back in the #5 spot in the fourth USTFCCCA Indoor Checkpoint of the season. Central’s women’s team remained at #11.

Gunner Meyer and Lance Bunde both cleared 6 feet, 8.75 inches in the high jump at the Darren Young Classic and are #8 nationally. Meyer also ran 7.90 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles for the #3 spot nationally. Jack Brown now sits #6 in the mile (4 minutes, 4.25 seconds) with his effort at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational in Boston over the weekend, while Peyton Steffen moved up to #5 in the 3,000 meters by running a 9:36.26.

Central is set to run at the Liz Wuertz Invitational hosted by Wartburg College Saturday. The Dutch will also run the distance medley relays at the Caged Eagle Open hosted by the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse on Friday night.
