A kick-off gathering was held in Newton Friday night for the organization of a Young Professionals of Jasper County group. Organizers are seeking 21-to-40 year old’s looking to grow their careers, meet like-minded people, or get more involved in their community. Ella White, the new Executive Director of the Greater Newton Area Chamber of Commerce, is helping to get the Young Professionals of Jasper County going.
“I want to open up new opportunities for people to grow and learn. I’ve just always been a super social person, and always been interested in wanting to know more behind the scenes about what makes a town grow and what excites people.”
White is a 2022 Newton graduate who graduated from the University of Iowa last year with a Business Management and Leadership Degree. The kick-off for the Young Professionals of Jasper County was held at Newton’s Gray Moon Public Market on Friday.
