A Newton man accused of sexually abusing a minor over a span of a year and a half is being held in the Jasper County Jail on a $25,000 bond. Newton Police have charged 23-year-old Camden Lee Beach with 2nd degree sexual abuse, a class B felony. Court documents allege Beach admitted to police that he had inappropriate contact with a pre-teenage girl. The abuse allegedly occurred from December 2023 through September 2025.
The police report says Beach’s arrest stems from an investigation into a report of suspected sexual abuse of a child that the Department of Health and Human Services received on March 6th. Magistrate Dale Mays set Beach’s bond and a preliminary hearing for Monday, April 27th.
