The Pella City Council approved the fiscal year 2026-27 budget at their meeting Tuesday. A public hearing was held and a resolution was approved by council to move forward with a proposal that maintains the city’s current tax rate at $10.75 per $1000 of valuation. Additionally, council approved an ambulance transport services agreement with Pella Regional Health Center and Pella Community Ambulance. During policy and planning, the council discussed potential changes to the city’s peddler/solicitor ordinance.
