The Knoxville Heritage Acting Troupe will perform “One Stoplight Town” this weekend.

Heritage Acting Troupe is a drama club of Heritage Home Educators, a homeschool co-op serving Knoxville, Iowa, and surrounding communities. Each spring 7th – 12th graders put on a quality performance for their friends, family, and community. “One Stoplight Town” is a story about people from a town so small that you might drive through it without taking a second look. However, if you stop you might see a young boy and girl fall in love, a cantankerous grocery store owner coping with change, a son returning home while a daughter thinks about leaving, a beauty queen and a drum major striking up a friendship, and a handyman taking it all in while he fixes what is broken.

Performances will be at New Journey Church at 6:30 pm on Friday and 2:00 pm and 6:30 pm on Saturday. Angie Gentry with Heritage Acting Troupe encourages everyone to come out and support the kids who have worked hard on this production.

“The kids have worked really hard. They have developed each character. Not only have they had to develop each character but they also have had to develop each character aging. They’ve done an exceptional job. We do also have a website and Facebook page where you can see bios of the actors and more details about the play.”

Tickets are $8.50 and can be purchased here. Hear more about the production on today’s Let’s Talk Knoxville.
