Following a busy slate on Tuesday, four of the Pella Christian spring sports teams are set to be back in action on the road today.
The Eagles’ boys tennis squad will look to secure their first victory of the season, traveling to Oskaloosa for their second conference meet of the week. Pella Christian hosted Indianola Tuesday and despite taking steps forward as a team, fell 10-1 in the match. The Eagles track and field squads are set to run in the Newton Cardinal Co-Ed meet this evening, before taking on the Drake Relays this weekend. The Pella Christian boys are coming off a third place finish in Division A of the Bear Trax Classic at BGM Tuesday night, while the girls took ninth place at the Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont meet. The Class 1A #8 Eagles boys soccer squad is also set to be back on the pitch tonight, traveling to Sigourney-Keota. Pella Christian will look to get back to their winning ways tonight, having dropped three of their last five contests.
The Eagles track and field teams begin today’s action at 4 pm in Newton, followed by the boys tennis match at Oskaloosa at 4:15 pm and the boys soccer game at Sigourney-Keota at 5:30 pm.
