The Knoxville Police Department has set the date for its 11th annual Helmets and Hotdogs event.
This year’s event will be on Thursday, May 28th, starting at Noon at the Knoxville Police Station. Helmets and Hotdogs is an event held on the last day of school to give kids a chance to get a new bike helmet, have their bikes tuned up and safety inspected, eat a meal, and a way to visit many different booths from local businesses and organizations. The event also includes many different bike giveaways and other prizes. The event is made possible through community donations of bikes and bike helmets.
