
While his name wasn’t called during the three days of the NFL draft, the professional football dream remains alive for a Pella High School graduate. Kody Huisman has signed to compete with the Buffalo Bills, according to a post made by Virginia Tech football. Huisman graduated as a Hokie this past fall, and in an interview heard on KNIA/KRLS this winter, highlighted his work toward preparing for a professional football career. Kody has been working out since finishing his collegiate football career. Huisman won an NCAA FCS National Football Championship with North Dakota State, which followed an All-State football career at Pella High School, where is also won a Drake Relays and state championship in the shot put.
